AMBIANCE OF THE BUREAUX
Location: Migueletes Street 1229, CABA, Argentina.
Usage: Professional studios and offices
Year 2012

The subtle facade of Ambiant Bureaux sits on the outer edge of Migueletes Street, housing a central courtyard that captures natural light and ventilates all levels.
Transparency and reflections of materiality as strategies that expose the structural design are the hallmarks of this project.
The tectonic exploration of the highly permeable central courtyard allows natural light to enter the ground floor, as well as integrating the different levels with the daily activities of its occupants. This creates a design in which the vertical circulation core is a meeting place.
The exterior facade is designed in accordance with bioclimatic design criteria for solar protection, which translates into thermal comfort and energy savings. For its part, the design of the aluminum carpentry, the glazed enclosure, and the solar protection elements highlight the distinguished character of the building, which consequently stands out from its immediate surroundings.
The access hall is a transition space between the outside and the inside that leads to the central patio. The choice of materials, as well as the design of each of its elements (cladding, lighting, etc.) aim to communicate a sense of luxury and sobriety and take care in each case of the energy optimization and rationalization of the building.
The patio is topped by a glazed roof that allows continuous sunlight to enter while protecting from rain and other natural elements. The design of the interior facade accentuates the luminosity of this space through the use of carpentry and enclosures in light and reflective colors that in turn reinforce the vertical and pure character of this unique common space.
